We had a show.
We were happy.
We promoted the show.
We were happy.
The show got cancelled.
We got sad.

We are sorry to announce that Everybody Uh Oh—the band we were scheduled to play with at Backbooth on the 19th of November has cancelled their tour following the loss of their guitar player. He was involved in a serious automobile accident that has taken his life. It is unjust that life has the ability to cut itself short on such short notice, and as it will always be, it's a horrifying thing to happen to such a young soul. I would stage a protest if it would make a difference, but alas, this is life with all its highs and lows and I am only me a helpless bystander.

Yes, this does leave us showless…and although that is nothing in comparison to being less a family member (which is an accurate depiction of what a band member becomes), it is still a significant blow to our morale. Ahh…the story of the The Zax first show gets even sweeter. The events leading up to it, the things preventing it, it's all quite interesting really.

There's a big black cloud hanging over our heads, and when things are looking up it starts raining again. It's set on not letting us forget that it's still a big black rain cloud and it’s still there over our head. Or maybe that’s just me being superstitious.

So if you see a flyer hanging around, just know that the show has been cancelled and let it be a reminder to wish Everybody Uh Oh the best as they try to make it through these hard times. I can't begin to imagine what I would do if something of this nature happened to Jay or Nick, although I bet it wouldn't be pretty.

We're coming for you. Promise. There may just be 17 more hurdles for us to jump before we get there. And I'll risk sounding redundant and say that for now we'll be busy sending our thoughts and prayers to Everybody Uh Oh and those closest to them as they cope with the tragic loss of a loved one.

Back to the studio we go. Debut record, January.
Also, be sure to check out our new song--the remix of "Lost Again"--on PureVolume.
Until next time, stay safe.

With Time, Love, and Tenderness,
Ryan
